I have a smoky blue walls near dark wood trim and furniture and the mat is a cinnamon-brown color. What color drapes should I look for? It will be hard to clash the exact light blue wall paint beside fabric so should I step with cinnamon, brown or off-white?
Answers: Match your draperies near colors from bedding and accessories. It will bring out the interest surrounded by the other fabrics surrounded by your room. But if you want to have the draperies blend, contest to paint. You can take you fabric to just nearly any Home Improvement or hardware store and they can "color match" your paint to your fabrics.

It depends on whether you want them to blend contained by or stand out. I personally would look for a marbled fabric that incorporates colors from your flooring, walls and upholstered pieces , assuming your upholstered pieces are plain colored.
If your upholstered pieces are veined then verbs out the most prominent color and use this for your drapery color.
