I tend to think that the wick should be lit at least once, even if you blow it out fast to avoid ruining the design of the wax. But decorative wax candles that have never be lit even once just bug me. And don't let them be dusty--that's even more foul. What's the inference of the group?
you should not burn your beautiful candle, visit scentsy.com, you can heat wax instead, there is no smoke and it is very safe and sound and will keep your candle beautiful and these scent are available in room sprays, car candles and wax bar and bricks! Burn 'em!! I make them, so there are other plenty around. Plus, sometimes you miss out on part of their beauty by not lighting them...
Most candles I think you should burn..The one and only ones I can think of that you might not is like the candles possibly say on top of your frig..I hold a bunch of candles at home..I counted them one day when I was home from work and I be bored..I have about 13..more or less 2 or 3 above my frig...My mom just likes candles..usually the material elegant looking candles are the ones that smell the best like conceivably have a cinnamon scent It really all depends basically how decorative it is. If it is too pretty then no, I will not frothy it not even just once to make the wick black. If its a pretty candle and it smells divine, I'll light it. Usually my nice candles are seasonal and are only out once a year so they don't carry dusty. :)
Answers:    I'm going to put a stake in the ground and say that at hand are plenty of decorative accessories out here. Candles should be about flickering ambiance.
never desk light them...unless they are Italian style kitchen ones and you want to melt the wax I don't burn mine but I do keep them dusted
