This might be a long shot, but does anyone know what i should use to get a distressed wax pine finish? I have a regular pine unit that i would approaching to look distressed waxed, so it will meeting my other furniture. thanks
Answers: First rotten the unit have to be raw,distress the surface to contest existing furniture usually with rough blunt instruments (e.g.) bike manacle, hammer & punch can produce holes to look like pin holes but make them uniform. Fill up pin holes with misty dark putty walnut. once distressing is complete, stain next to a butium stain to enhance the distressing, sand the unit down to own a clean surface which will singular now own black marks showing. Stain the section with a stain to clash the colour your existing. finish with a bee's wax or an grease
