Since you are a fashion designer, I am positively positive that you could come up with an outstanding look for your room! I don't want to suggest my personal style, but i could bestow you some tips!

here are the main points contained by creating an amazing room!
- paint the walls! and you don't have to paint adjectives of them the same color, for example you could paint one wall purple, and the other one - gold ingots....or you could even paint a picture on your wall! that's what i'm planning to do once we move
- a BIG MIRROR will make the room appear larger! every girl's bedroom wishes a mirror!
- a nightstand!
- pillowcases, bedsheets, area rugs, blinds of matching color
scheme!
- closely of light! you could purchase some cute sparkly hours of darkness light at wall mart or something too
- swing pictures on your walls! i prefer to make my own, but
you could other go to a store and find amazing artwork that
matches and add style to your room!
- plants! they are lovely and green! bamboo is a suitable one
- as for the color scheme...again, it depends on who you are! lighter colors will breed the room appear larger...brighter colours make the room come to enthusiasm!

Answers:    Since your space is so small, I would suggest that you get
big, round baskets with handle to hold all your fabric
and hang them from the ceiling. You can put a big hook
over a closet pole to get them down. Looks great.
Also, suppose about running a shelf around the top of your
room...something like l8 inches from the ceiling to hold books,
and miscellaneous, freeing up space below to accomodate
an entertainment center. Remember proportions when
doing this...don't buy commercial ones as they're too big
and have no behaviour. Try measuring exactly what
you'll call for for TV, music equip, etc. and look at the walls
instead of the floor for shelving for these things. Even
a mannequin can hang up half road down in a corner from the
ceiling (wrap some dryad lights around it). If you need a
full-size design table for sewing and pattern lay out, you
might consider doing what I own always found to be the
fail-safe small space solution for one room living. An old
ping pong tabletop....yes...floppy from the ceiling on
four pullies right over your bed. Around the bottom you
can staple gun lace or other embellishments so it looks
like a sun shelter when flat up against the ceiling. When you
want to work, pull it down and you'll hold all the room within
the world. Couple of tugs and up it goes. You can also
cover the bottom of the table beside fabric and more nymph
lights. This looks so great and is very practical. Hope
you can try it.
