The stump will be removed eventually but i dont want to cut or do anything to damage the wood but... how to decorate it?
We just put a whiskey barrel on our tree stump and not a soul knew it was within. Of course we planted flowers in it in the Spring, Summer and Fall and contained by the Winter we filled it with greenery, holly and some bows. own it as part of a nature montage
My first thought be to do what my Dad did. He drilled big holes. Just big enought to fit little pots. My Mom then filled the pots next to overflowing plants and flowers and it looks great. If you do not want to drill the big holes..maybe you can hammer within some pegs or long screws and consequently place some plastic pots over the pegs/screws to hold them. Then fill pots with soil and overflowing plants such as ferns or trailing verbenia or geraniums. Good luck! My guess would be to explore around for someone who can do the chainsaw wood carving. I just talked to a guy going on for a month ago. He said his son does that and it is really reasonable. Maybe they could do something neat beside it. They have done a lot of tees that own been damaged at one time within one of our local city parks. They turned it into one of the neatest parks around.
Answers: If you don't want to cut or drill it what more could you do than set something on it similar to a bird feeder. I used a chainsaw and cut a lizard out of my tree stump. It wasn't an easy task, the chainsaw be heavy and I never used one before.
