Answers:    Depending on the style (arts and crafts, colonial style, etc.) that will dictate the style of furniture. Your best bet is to shop antique stores close to you for all wood furniture or brass bed, depending on what you like. It's better if you pick up individual pieces so it looks more authentic. Our house is 100 years hoary and we haven't had the money to bring pieces that fit, but we put our feet down when it come to preserving the original beadboard (though it mechanism we have impressively little information). You could also try getting on eBay or freecycle.com to see if people are selling/getting rid of antiquated furniture. Freecycle is regional and the stuff is, well, free. It may entail some tlc, but with a milk rinse, it could be a treasured piece.
