Decorating serve!!!?

OK, I have a living room that I am almost to furnish. The walls are a pale pallid (as is the rest of the house), the color is called Carriage Light. We enjoy light oak hardwood floors and a stark white staircase is the livingroom. What color couch, chairs, etc. And what give or take a few coffee tables and wrapping up tables? Light wood or dark wood? Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks in finance!!!

I think a weighty scarlet red couch and chair would look great beside those colors. Sorry I dont have any pictures, upright luck.
