Answers:    The thinking you have so far are devout, but I would add a moment or two green too. It's best to have three colors contained by your palette and soft periwinkle blue, celery or sage green and white make a become quiet, soothing room. The sheer white drapes are good for spring and summer. In the fall over and winter, layer them beside another panel of either blue or green. Mixing stripes and florals contained by the same color family connections works well.

I've done my bedroom contained by similar colors although the wall color is called rainwashed by Sherwin Williams. It is the most soothing color I enjoy ever seen.
