Answers:    If they can't fix it, then they should replace it. Hold out and don't settle till they grant to replace it. When they offer to replace it, bring back a reputable contractor to negotiate and settle the price with the insurance company. The experienced contractor know what the costs are better than you, so let him do the pricing to the insurance.
Check out the reference of the contractor and get a Better Business Bureau report on his company formerly you retain his services.
