Cost of Bricking a House? Our house has vinyl siding, but when we have it built,...
Our house has vinyl siding, but when we have it built, we made sure it was prepped to be bricked --- if we considered necessary to do so later on. So, the foundation, etc are arranged and up to code for brick.
My question is, how much should someone expect to clear for a 1 story / 1200 square feet home to be bricked? I have some estimates a couple years ago and they were adjectives over the map. Some as low as $3000, some high as $12,000 - using one and the same kind of brick and adjectives licensed contractors.
I have no concept what is "reasonable" for price. Help?
Btw, I live in the mid-south, so if that help to know... a brand new brick home surrounded by my area, same size, would run in the region of $150,000 (nice).
Answers: It should be about $9000 to 10,000 plus the cost of the bricks.
I don't know how someone quoted $3000.
