Well, the Legal Action impression could work. I'm not that type of person. Since you asked what *I* would do, I would post over the internet and spread the word about it and if he have no business, then he has no work, and nobody would be hurt the course you were. If you spread it on the internet, then closely of people would find it. (lots of internet users in 2008)

Answers:    You don't want to hear this right now (I know! lol) but the "buyer beware" adage could be a victorious legal defense for your contractor. Is the warranty for the wood they placed or, somehow, for customer satisfaction?
