my boyf has built a conservatory and he is going to be concreting the floor,, presently which should he use. mersey grit or red sand?? and why??

i dont understand any of this idiom, but he said fellow DIYers will

Concrete is made of cement, sand, stone, water, and admixtures. If respectively of the materials meet the correct ASTM requirements, who manufacture the component is unimportant. You should avoid using one and only a sand mix because the mix will be weaker and have more cracks due to shrinkage. Use stone to grow less shrinkage and increase the strength of a concrete mix.
On a interior floor job, not exposed to the elements, remember to use a non-air entrained mix. Use a commercial concrete company, and they will enjoy concrete mixes that have be used in former times. For you to mix concrete, you can hurt yourself and mess up the mix.
Remember wet concrete is harmful, if you get any on your skin bathe it off right away!
Cheers and honest luck.
I've poured and finished concrete outside but I am not habituated with working indoors or near the terms he's using as I hire a company to come contained by with a concrete truck right to the site I'm working on. I suggest you budge to the following web site, It's Do It Yourself web.
