Colour coordination for living to turn near brown sofa? I brought a brown leather sofa a year ago and now...

I brought a brown leather sofa a year ago and now want to deck my living room. I was thinking of have my main walls white/stone colour and have a wallpaper on my chimney breast of maybe a black guide, then next to maybe granite curtains. I would also close to to put a bit of colour in here with some green contained by the cushions and in the wall painting

I know this sounds like a mish pulp but I don't really have much of a clue more or less these things. I was other under the dint black and brown doesn't go together any.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
