I'm thinking bout painting my kitchen particularly colorful. I want all four walls a different color and they will be adjectives bright colors-orange, green, blue, and purple. What do you think? Would that look accurate in a kitchen or is it too much? I'm also going to put black tile on the floors and black marble countertops and paint my cabinet black or could I keep my cabinet light brown?
Sweetie I estimate it's way too much.
I would find kitchen curtains/valences/roman shades surrounded by a pattern that have those colors in it and use that for your bright pallet...select one of those colors to do the walls but toned down a wee bit...green would be the best bet...Sure, do the cabinet in black and amass the flooring for last..construct sure you make a few selection and bring those samples home..seeing it on the floor next to your cabinets, walls, and windowpane treatments will help you opt...then use the colors contained by your window treatments as accent splashed about surrounded by canisters, etc...suitable luck
WOW that is deeply of color and trust me you will regret it and be repainting in a year or smaller amount. When I first bought my house I did the same form of thing but not that extreme. I have bright colors in most of the rooms. After 6 months I be sick of it and toned everything down alot. I still hav elots of color but not so over done. Think or slightly more muted and tamed versions of required you are thinking now. A cool the deep foam greeny blue, an antiqued lime green. Still vibrant but not so, yup that is bright.
Also, I would not put more than 2 colors contained by the same room. Paint constituent of the room one color and than where it seperates by a put a bet on splash or cabinets start the second color and than verbs one of those colors into the next room.
Love the black floors and counter top I too basically did that in my kitchen but the cabinet being black too is somewhat much. THe brown will work fine if you compliment it with the color you choose to paint
Answers: My kitchen is pallid, orange, blue and red. I love it, and everybody that said I would apologize for is thrilled when they see it. I say if it's what you see surrounded by your mind, and you like it, move about for it!
I think I would choose one color that you really similar to and stick to that. It would make your kitchen to busy beside all those different colors. I wouldn't hold on to brown cabnets with black marble. You could paint the cabnets black and obtain knobs to walk on them the same color as you are fine art the walls. But, just don't over shoot with so much black.
