Color suggestions ?? me and my boyfriend are about to move into our new place....
me and my boyfriend are about to move into our new place. we already enjoy our furniture picked out, black and beige leather. i'm not sure what color would be good for the curtains, the hearth rug is a beige/tan as well. i know a majority of maroon, cranberry colors look apt with tan or off-white. but i need help, and suggestions ?? (:
thaaanks.
Besides the reds that you mentioned, aqua looks good near those colors too. The curtain color should depend upon the wall color; I like to use draperies that blend into the walls for a seamless look, but that's just a personal nouns. Find an accent pillow you like or a piece of art or stuff and use that as an inspiration.

That depends on which room you are talking about, how big it is, and how you want to the room to look. If you enjoy a lot of light within the room it is my preference to lean towards bolder darker colors. This creates a romantic, comfy space for a bedroom or inherited room. If there is not a lot of restrained, going dark will only fashion the room appear smaller.
It is basically a personal preference. If you want a heat up feel to the room (if you live in a colder climate most of the time or it is the northern side of your home) you may want to stay beside warm colors. If you live in hot weather most of the year or the room is situated on the south side and receive a lot of sun you may to make it appear cooler by using cooler colors (corals, desk light blues, greens, yellows). Good luck. Glidden has a cool dvd software program you can use to see what you room looks like next to different paint colors and it's very cheap - I got mine at Home Depot. You necessitate a digital camera, but it's totally worth it because you can change colors of furniture, pillows, curtians, etc. too.
Maybe a deep green?
I think purples might be nice too but perchance a little too wacky for some tastes.
I'd step for the cranberry myself!
You are starting out with a neutral conditions. You could go olive, blue, wine, anything you really like. Here are a couple of links. Good luck! seem like burgundy would look good near it or maybe a forest green. you don't want it to look to feminine with a guy living next to you.
Answers: A pale Olive would be nice..
