Our church is small and we don't have a lot of extra money after paying mortgage and utility bills so I be wondering if anyone knew a place that would donate paint to a church as our nursery needs drawing
I don't know any place that donates paint but You could have a church fundraiser!

Ask your local Lowes or Home Depot if they would be willing to donate free paint within exchange for the publicity. Also, these big-box stores create plenty of "oops" paint mixes that the staff make mistakes on while mixing custom colors. They may be thrilled to get rid of the stuff and do a honourable deed at the same time... As previously stated...ask local stores and stress that you are a local church...or...

ask for oops paint...this is paint that when folks were getting a custom mixed color that didn't turn out right...our youth room was painted next to oops paint!
Answers:    I am a 37 year experienced painter and I have seen Sherwin Williams more than once donate thier "mistints" to churches and non profit organization on A low budget for free..They usually have 100 to 200 gallons of mistints in the put money on they normally sell for reduced prices..but will also donate if you reach a deal to the main salesman or store manager of that store.Call them and see what you can do.. You own to have some idea of mixing colors for they wont hold more than 1 5 gallon bucket of this color then a 5 of the next... Make sure to amount out more than what you will need and mix it together to come up with a sensible color.. Earth tones you usually have the best results with .. Make sure that adjectives paints are compatable as far as latex, oil bases etcetera and dont cross mix.You can mix different sheens such as explain ,semi gloss satins etcetera together as long as both are latex..
