Definitely go for runner in bedrooms or living rooms. Laminate isn't as thaw.

Depends on which room. For a living room I like to hold a carpet as it is space heater, especially as my 2 year old plays on the floor. In the dining room I am going to be getting laminate when it is adorned as it is easier to clean up food that my son have dropped, paint, play dough etc! I am thinking of getting laminate in my crucial hall opening as I am always cleaning the hearth rug in nearby.
I currently have laminate contained by my bedroom (was there when I moved in) and I disgust it. I have a divan bed and when we go and get in the bed scoots across the room. In the mornings the floor is really cold when you first win out of bed and makes you not want to find up. Also I find it is hard to hang on to the room warm.
