I recently took out the hearth rug in my apartment. Between the hearth rug and the mat under that, here were sinewy, wispy strands off fiber-like objects and quite greatly of it. Is this asbestos? Or is it normally used underneath carpets. Also, if it is asbestos, is my vigour in difficulty?
Answers: Highly doubt it. Asbesto's was found surrounded by ceiling and floor tile in a compressed posture. Also was used to rap pipes as insulation, but inside the rap the asbesto's is powdery. So your alright, but wear a face curtain, those carpet fibers are yucky.
I hold never heard of asbestos self used in this behaviour and I deal beside it professionally. You can stop worrying.
