Hey everyone.
I am in a bit of a dilemma. I own decided to initiate up my own candle store and have contracted to takeby the side of making my own candles. Does anyone know what the best wax to use (parrafin, soy....) for making votive and pillar candles. Also, does anyone know of a good distributor surrounded by Canada? Thanks for all your oblige. Any additional information that you assume could help me near this process let me know. Candles anyone? haha
Answers:    Hello.

My chief reason for writing is to congratulate you on your conclusion to open a store and get rid of candles, but to also caution you that it's not so much fun when you enjoy to make a bunch of them.

Decide what your desire is and what your desire is.

Do you want to make candles, next to selling being subsidiary.

or

Do you want to sell candles next to the making being lower.

This is important, because when your business grows you will enjoy to outsource or hire someone to do either the selling while you do the cooking ... or someone to do the cooking while you're out selling.

I narrate you this because I've done both.

I used to make gel candles to put on the market at craft fairs and to friends ... newly solo, not part of any grating. I did ok with it, though jeez o' pete, I run out of having fun long previously I ran out of candles I have to make. Once it become a chore, I took a good look around my kitchen and at the gel boogars and wax bopplets that I manage to get adjectives over the place and I had to lift stock of what my desire truly was.

I loved the creativity cog. I loved having citizens ohh and ahh over something I made.

I wanted to engineer some money. It wasn't long befor I came to the conclusion that not a soul wanted to compensate me for my time.

People who want to buy a candle do not necessarily want to pay for an imaginative, one of a kind, work of art.

Harrumph!

I contracted that in directive to make myself healthy I would have to modify my plan. I no longer bring in candles to sell. I label candles for fun. The candles I sell are candles that OTHER society make. :-)

There are several reputable candle companies that offer distributorships beside varying degrees of investment of time and money .... I'm thoroughly happily a rep for one of them :-) .

There will imagined be some number of people who will come along at the rear me and try to pitch their distributorship and get you to merge their team. Notice that I did not do that.

I procure props for that.

Best of luck to you in reaching your dream. I aspiration you much success !

That said, if you should ever find yourself at your wick's call a halt ... come find me.
