I have some gold ingots colored lamp shades that my wonderful son drew on next to a sharpie. Is there anyway to merely spray paint them white or will it completely ruin them to do this? We have a birthday get-together on Saturday and I really don't want to have to run out and buy new shades. I intuitively have no problem buying fresh ones, but my husband does. Thanks!

But be aware that when you turn on the flimsy, that sharpie mark may show up (especially if white).
