Answers: They do make mastics specifically designed for inborn stone. That being said, I still don't recommend it. If you're doing something close to a kitchen backsplash or something small that will never see water, consequently it will work. If you plan on doing a floor or shower/tub area, I'd use a lightweight thinset. Laticrete 255 is my nouns.(laticrete.com) Dal tile sells a Mapei product I construe works equally well. Hope this help.
Is it going on a wall, because that's the only time we use it? But I would use thinset or possibly even Lexel clear glue (definately depends on what your doing near it though)
