I want to buy new front blind door, but the colours I don't like. Can I paint higher than the existing colour on aluminum? Do I then buy paint for aluminum or paint for the colours that's already on top?

Answers:    Yes you can paint an aluminum door.
1st-Clean near household cleaner like 409.
2nd-PRIME beside a good trait latex metal primer
3rd-topcoat with an exterior latex semi-gloss paint

OR- Prime/paint near DTM (Direct-To-Metal) paint, like benjamin moore Ironclad latex low lustre finish.
