Can I restain a previously stained piece of furniture contained by a dark color short stripping?
Answers: I wouldn't because you won't get the true color you are going for. If you want the piece to reflect the actual color you are going for, strip it, sand it, and re-stain. In the long run, you will be happier.
next to light sanding , no chips scratch etc , yes you can . always better to sand than chemical strip . strip does damage wood . you will be fine . just if the color is much lighter then what your putting on.
