I have tile in my kitchen and the grout is not even near the tile. I want to add additional grout to trademark it level with the tile. Is this possible or do I enjoy to remove the old grout first? If that is the shield, what is the best way to remove existing grout?
buy the ''unsanded'' grout and just put it on you call for to remove the grout first

Answers: you can grout over existing grout but only surrounded by certain cases. if there is an incredible difference contained by the "eveness" of the grout to the tile, such as a deep gully or crevice, then yes you can grout over the grout. cause sure you stay in the same house of grout. if a sanded grout was used, use sand. if a non-sanded grout was used, used non-sanded. if there isn't much of a crevice and you want to still grout to take it more flush, you will have to use a grout scraper (available at home depot or lowes) to scratch out adequate grout for the new to stick. i'd say in the region of half way down; no have need of to remove it all. once regrouted, use a grout sealer and voila! you're done.
I'd take out the old grout beside a grout saw.
