Can anyone who know in the order of fine art support me? I hired someone to paint my front door and screen door red...
I hired someone to paint my front door and screen door red (they be originally black -- the screen door metal and the front door wood). He put a coat of red paint directly on the black, despite that I suggested first putting a coat of lighter colored primer (he said 'I'm the painter, I know what I'm doing). After the second coat of red, the black still shows through, and presently he says 'I don`t know you were right.' The interview is, what is it best to do now? Put on a third coat of red? Or put a hurricane lantern color next, and consequently red on top of that? I considered necessary it done a week ago but he kept messing about and not getting it done -- I required it finished by Christmas because I've got ancestral coming. So it needs to return with finished today even if I have to do it myself. Please abet! Part of the delay be that he thought he was going to borrow a sprayer from someone, this did not take place so we are now working near brushes and rollers.
Answers: covering black with red is other a 3 or 4 coat job, the first coat is for adhesion but it's too unpaid for that now!
If it is a metal door, you are getting too heaps coats and it is going to peel. You want to put on a third coat of red, but you will probably need to sand and revise in the spring.
