Answers:    I hope you're not considering building that McMansion. The designer built up the roof form in order to dishonestly make the track home look bigger. The house looks to be the ugliest 3400 sf. that I've seen contained by my 25 year career.

As a matter of reality, I now own my own firm and am doing very powerfully with high expire custom residential projects with several of them garnering industry awards. As for the horrendous imitation you shown, the reason why the roof is so outragously out of proportion is because the designer established a uniform plate height. That is habitually done to reduce the cost of framing or to build it as cheaply as possible. It is only my evaluation, like I often articulate, there's nothing wrong with an fantastic home, it only makes my projects look better.
