Can a windowpane ac part be used contained by room lacking window?

Nope, a window element blows out as much hot air to outside of your house as it does cold to the inside. if you just set it on a table or the floor, you might as ably just be using a very expensive supporter. You really need to cut a hole in a wall somewhere, and build a small glass frame around it. you atleast need a hole so that the back part of the pack is outside. An AC basically takes the steam from your room to the outside. So some part of it has to be contained by contact with the outside

Not unless you cut a hole in the wall. There is the cold side that goes within the room, and then the hot side which goes outside the porthole. The hot side also drains the condensation. If you have the whole piece in the room, then the warmness that is absorbed by the a/c section will just be released back into the room, plus the bake generated by the unit itself. My guess is that putting a windowpane unit in a room w/out a skylight would make the room hotter. I'm not an expert though so I could be wrong. Every One answered your question correct.. I put 18000 BTU windowpane unit in my kitchen and I cut out introductory about 6" below window. I framed it near 2 X 4 to give support. It looks good, inside my kitchen, out side is facing woods, mortal installed below the window is more efficient because you can draw from better seal around inside an outside. I have steam a pump, that I am not using now, as the window element is cheaper to run and doing good job. You could buy a portable that will single require about 3 to 4 inch hole.
Answers:    You have to cut a hole in the wall and hopefully the component will fit between the studs. I don't recommend this. Buy a floor model
