My husband and I just moved into a strange condo/townhouse (end unit..thank God!). It have a full basement (not finished) and I'd resembling to set up my drum kit down within but am worried about the "noise" traveling to my neighbors. I customarily wouldn't be THAT worried about something resembling this, but I like to mic up my gear and those of you who do the same..you know how even though the nouns is much fuller, it tends to be A LOT louder. Any suggestions on how I can keep hold of the sound from traveling, hang on to the quality of the nouns (good acoustics) AND not have it break-the-bank. Thank you adjectives in mortgage. Its greatly appreciated.
Answers:    The question is, what is dividing your condo from the condo subsequent door? Being a basement, the divider may be a concrete block wall or some other solid, soundproof bits and pieces. But it may also be a framed wall covered with drywall. In better construction, walls between near units are doubled--that is, they are two separate walls beside insulation in between for soundproofing. The easiest process to find out is to drill a small hole in the wall and afterwards to stick a wire through the hole to determine how glutinous the wall is. This may not necessarily give you the right answer because near may be fireproofing in the middle of the doubled wall. In any case, you can buy 4' by 8' foam panel about 2 inches gluey that can be nailed to the wall. You may not find these at Home Depot, but will hold to go to a lumberyard used by builders. Foam panel may also be needed on the ceiling. By all ability talk to your tentative neighbor to see how much a problem it is.

I'd like to put in a comment that you should not have your music too loud. When I be much younger, I listened to loud music. Eventually my audible range was destabilized and now I wear a audible range aid. If I could do it over, I would have be more careful.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
If the vault wall is concrete or concrete block, it probably will be effective surrounded by attenuating the noise. You will hold a larger problem with the nouns going through the basement ceiling and individual conducted by the framing into your neighbor's unit. A dropped ceiling surrounded by the basement may minister to. This is what you see in plentiful commercial buildings or offices, where on earth 2' by 4' acoustic tiles are suspended from the ceiling using wires and a metal framework:

The foam panel I was referring to are available at Lowe's, Home Depot, and elsewhere:

They can be attached near nails or screw using washers, or with construction glue.

I can't say how firm it will be to confine the sound to your condo, but fortunately your problem is pretty much set to the ceiling. By all ability speak with your neighbors and relay them that you are working to minimize the noise surrounded by their unit. They will probably be much more forgiving if you make conversation to them about it first.
