i am just curious, do you REALLY call for a box spring under your mattress?? i freshly bought a new bedroom set, and discovered that when my mattress is contained by it, the bed is HUGE! almost can't see the actual bed! do i need the box spring beneath it?

Answers:    No you don't need one. People who own platform beds don't use them. They do donate some support, but it sounds like your mattress is comparatively thick already.

No, you don't really obligation it. Box springs do offer some support to the mattress, but studies show that your mattress will not be ruined except supported by a box spring.
