We might be getting a new house and my son is presently 1. We want a border for the walls that is not "baby" or "childish". One that will be grown up for him and he will still close to after he is older. Are borders or wallpaper even surrounded by style now?

First past its sell-by date your child is worth more than a border. Borders ALWAYS look run down and just cheap.

I would dance with timeless and classic and do crown molding.
You can do it afford-ably if you choose the right size and paint power. Then that border is good for 1day frail to 100 days old.

In the long run it will be smaller amount work for you and more echo friendly because of refuse. Put your touch on paint and textiles and a few great choices of furniture.
