We finally that the leak that be entering our window sill be coming from the sliding door on the upper floor which was not installed properly . The mold on the 2x4 's when the drywall be peeled rotten looked black, and the wood framing for the window be soft, black, and easily destroyed near a fork. We cracked the window and own a fan running contained by the room to help dry and push the mold outdoors but what else can be done past the job is completed? A lot of the drywall will be replaced, as economically as lots of the wood, but what risk is it for us to be in the house until the opening is finished? It should take a few weeks. Can we newly close off the room? Thanks so much
Answers: Black mold or any mold for that thing is totally harmless to most of us. That is 99.999999% of the population. It is a occasional thing for mold to end in any problems to humans.

I think the panic tactic on the Program 60 minutes about 5 years ago really frightened race into beliveing that black mold is very greatly dangerous. A tactic that CBS used to increase viewers and necessity of 60 minutes but totally false for most of us.

I hold or had that crap contained by my house it was black mold coming out of the swamp cooler, and it give me ear aches and made me sick, really, but my husband have NO problems, so it depends on you and your family and your sensitivity, I say-so if ANYONE starts to feel off-colour, do something different and let it dry on its own. flawless luck!
