My furniture is very fashionable, dark wood.
What wall colour do you think would look nice, and also, what mat colour do you think would look best with that wall colour?

I love my eiderdown, and now I have to adjust my room to contest it.

Thanks for answering.
With that Beautiful Bedspread I would pick a street lamp lavender for the walls and a pale yellow for the runner or white. I would paint it with dark lilac or purple for the walls and cream colored carpet to contrast the furnitures. :)
Maybe a very rich creamy colour to create your bedspread/furniture stand out and complement it, then you could also find a colour a few shades darker than your throw and just do one wall in it which won't overpower the room.
I'd read out a cream carpet (or a darker colour, conceivably beige if you have kids - I learn the hard way on that one!) would look amazing, I own a similar colour scheme in my bedroom. I am a designer and in reality assisted in the color choices for a friends house. It looks like your counterpane is a hue of purple and personally I believe that green is a really good compliment to your throw. A darker shade of mint green would be the best way to describe it. If you want a more subtle color, run with grey with a allusion of blue and white trims. The darker wall with in actuality end up making your bedspread stand out more.
feathery grey??

a darker shade of red, if you don't mind have dark colors.
this will bring out the wood and compliments the bedspread Lavender or shadowy purple and lavender walls

Silver/Gray carpet
Answers:    Lovely bedding choice!
I would go with a exquisite silver gray on the walls, to pick up the silver in your throw pillows and to complement the sheen of the bedding. Ralph Lauren has a gorgeous stripe called Regent Metallics - Take a look at "Silver Plated".

You could also just do gray paint surrounded by a satin or semi-gloss finish and wash over it with a silver finish, for a similar effect.

As for flooring...I would normally recommend a hard floor covering, and for this room, I believe a medium to dark hardwood would be gorgeous. If you do prefer to go with carpeting, stick next to a neutral color (in case you resolve to later change your bedding and color scheme). Look for something beside mixed beiges, taupes and grays, to add a little temperature to the room.

Good luck and have fun!!
a table lamp purple wall
