My husband and I can't agree on what color/s to paint our bedroom. We have a striking dark red bedding set thats staying. The floor will soon be hardwood. Anyway can anyone donate me any ideas? My husband considered necessary to paint two walls red and two walls yellow(in specific shades). I'm sure he has a method to his maddness but I construe it would look like a circus tent. We hold a basic rectangle bedroom, the windowpane is small, we don't get alot of sunlight.
Answers: What color is the wood of the furniture - pitch-black or light?
If pitch-black, walls would probably look best in a flimsy tone, such as ivory, or pale gold ingots.
If wood is light, you could be in motion with a deeper gold ingots, or even a caramel [ like the hardwood floor ].
I expect adding red to walls will de-emphasize the bedding.
I would incorporate some very plain, simple windowpane coverings [ sheers? ] to match the walls - anything too fancy will detract from the exquisite bedding.
Bright colors such as red and yellow are usually poor choices for bedroom colors because of their illustrious activity level. I think next to the decor you've told be about a camel or cream (possibly accented beside a dark wood brown) would look better while also keeping the room from have too much color activity. =)
