Bedroom is 11x26 How to swathe.? I just purchased a Cape Cod home next to an itty bitty...
I just purchased a Cape Cod home next to an itty bitty kitchen, an itty bitty full bath and consequently upstairs where the attic used to be is a HUGE bedroom (and a hugely small half hip bath *sigh*).
The bedroom measures a whopping 11x26 and I would like to use adjectives the space available. At the length of the room is window of the front and then of the spinal column yard. As beside most rooms that were attics it does enjoy a slanted ceiling on both sides.
Currently I have a full size bed and a love form parralel to each other at 'front' of house.
Your the decorator, my budget is unlimited. What is YOUR dream-- inspire me!!! I'm clear to all philosophy. Thank you Answerers!
Answers: I've seen attic re-dos where on earth the space under the slanted sides be filled built-in cabinetry. Basically, miles and miles of storage. In one project, they also recessed lighting at the posterior of the units beside frosted glass tops. With so much length, I would absolutely break the space up with different areas of function. Use the space at the posterior windows for a couple of chairs, table and possibly an ottoman for a quiet reading nouns, or add a small tv if you resembling to sneak away for a quiet movie. You could turn the bed towards the front porthole, and build a fake wall/headboard. Would be a bit more privacy for the bed, and literally create almost another room. The put a bet on of the centered wall, could be hung with art and provide a spinal column to put a desk, computer or your couch against. Leaving both sides of the new wall unequivocal would allow light to come through from the front window. The wall could also give you space to run unmarked electrical wiring for wall mounted reading lamp. As for colors or styles, that's mostly your choice and what would make you the happiest. I believe a master bedroom should be the one room that most reflect your tastes and choices. You're not decorate for company, but creating a retreat for yourself.
I'm not sure of the layout, but perhaps there's a path to steal a bit of space and refigure the bathroom to a larger space? Since it's just for the master bedroom, possibly some glassblock walls, again to keep the restrained throughout the space?
