I am re-doing my bathroom and I am on a budget. Can I paint the lenoleum instead of replacing it?? Also, can I paint my wooden vanity black instead of replacing it? Please Help me asap!
Yes paint the conceit but don't mess with painting the linoleum. Go buy a box of strip and stick linoleum squares and carpet cutter (or something to cut it to size) then stick them higher than the old(Lowes). It will make it feel fresh, fresh & clean. You'll spend about like peas in a pod without the headache plus it's kinda fun to do. no to the floor...it will chip and not look very virtuous..just replace the lenoleum, its pretty cheap if you look around, unless you have a huge bathroom you will not have need of much and its easy to lay down, matter of reality you could even lay it over the other..i wouldnt paint a wooden vanity as it takes away from the authenticity and may be more hassle than its worth. devout luck with both
Linoleum in not a paintable surface. Try purchasing cement backed tiles instead - just install over the linoleum as long as the surface is surrounded by decent shape. You can also paint your vanity, but you'll involve to properly prep it and use the appropriate paint. Go to a good paint store like Dunn Edwards and detail that what type of surface you are painting and ask how to properly prep and what the proper paint it.

Hope that helps!
Answers:    I dont think fine art lenoleum will be wise its so waxy, I dont think the paint will hold up or look terrifically good to be honest. And I wouldnt paint it black that will make your bathroom look smaller...paint it a fresh white or a pearl color to preserve a clean look and to open it up and clash anything. Do you have a Habitat for Humanity near you?? Look it up if your not sure, you can step there for any household item..bathroom tile, maybe lenoleum, borders, vanity's, tubs you heading it they prolly got it...people donate stuff within and they sell it tothe public for really cheap to help out race who cant afford a lot. My sis in regulation works there and they have everything you inevitability to re-do a room, they might even bargain with you. So look it up to if you own one near you.
pretty sure u can paint wood. not sure about lenoleum though.
