i have a totally small bathroom with no window just a small vent so moisture is an issue and i involve to paint my bathroom it has a shiny paint . do i own to prime first ?
what color will make it brighter and look bigger?
im out numbered by men within my apartment so it cant look girly or manly what color should i go for?

Your hip bath room is probably painted with marine based enamel which is shiny. So paint it next to the same color but hose down the walls with a regular household cleaner past you repaint. The paint store will give you the proper paint for bathrooms. The lighter the color the brighter the room. A slight off-white should be fine.

Answers:    Firstly you call for to work out what kind of paint is on the wall presently. Is it enamel or acrylic paint? An easy style to do this is to get some turpentine and rub somewhat of it on the wall. If the paint comes away easily consequently you have acrylic paint, if it does not come away glibly then it is enamel paint.

So label sure that you use the same species of paint as what is on the wall now.

If you run to the paint store, tell them you are sculpture your bathroom and they can recommend a mildew and moisture resistent paint which is made especially for use in showery areas.

Lastly I would suggest a cream colour, like 'pancake'. It is sexual category neutral, make the room look clean and hygienic but next to a little high temperature to it as it is not just plain white, and hurricane lantern colours make small rooms appear bigger and brighter (especially if you do not own a window).

If the paint which is there presently is in well brought-up condition (no peeling or bubbling or cracking), later technically speaking you do not have to prime it, newly give it a night light sanding. But as any accurate painter will tell you, if you want to do a continuing job, other prime/seal/undercoat first.
