That depends on how abundant lights are on the fixture. It needs to be wide satisfactory to light up your whole facial nouns so that you do not get shadows. Depending on the fixture and the amount of light it produces, whether nearby is a glass cover over the bulbs or whether your fixture can be mounted either up or down. Some fixtures one and only recommend up. I would suggest a flourescent fixture long enough to accomplish your lighting needs. Just buy a characteristic one. There is a difference in the parts that go into the making of adjectives flourescents. Then choose a high quality bulb to walk with it. A designer 50 series goes economically in a bath fixture.
I would recommend a lighting fixture near at least two bulbs, three if you can fit it in. I would also recommend a fixture that uses halogen bulbs. These are extremely bright for their wattage ratings and they afford off a more natural restrained than fluorescent bulbs (although fluorescent lamps use a lot smaller number energy).
I have a fixture in respectively bathroom - one with two lamps and one beside three - that are metal frames that support quarter-round alabaster globes with halogen bulbs (open at the top to let the roast out - halogen bulbs get really hot). This really bathes the room - specifically the front of the vanity - with bright, organic light. I also get abundantly of indirect light from the reflection past its sell-by date of the ceiling.

Answers: Just a thought to play with how about a track standard lamp that can go up the wall if that is where on earth the electrical source is or if on ceiling a simple replacement to a funky track with multiple heads will allow you to increase the street light in the room.
