Bamboo/cane shade for roof garden - design philosophy? Hello, I am planning to build a bamboo/cane-shade in my roof garden...

Hello,
I am planning to build a bamboo/cane-shade in my roof garden (or a bit pay someone to to it :) I am looking for philosophy... I'd like the shade to cover singular part of the roof nouns to provide shade in summer (summers surrounded by Malta can be very hot!). The shade have to stand strong wind, sun and precipitation and be aesthetically pleasing. Any design ideas?

Many thankfulness,
Inga
Answers:    Hi, see if you can get someone to build you a dome out of wicker, it doesn't need to be completely solid to confer you the shade that you need and would look really unconscious on your roof garden.
make sure you use a clumping wicker. these will grow thick contained by patches. so plant a few along a long container. clumping will grow into a gelatinous screen but next to limited spread. so plant a couple clumps to form your screen.

also I do not know what nature of area you will be planting within so I am assuming its not all grassy but fairly container plants. Just so you know bamboo is fundamentally invasive and will spread like wildfire into other areas save confined. it spreads via root system. thats why a single container is best.
