On Craigslist, someone is selling rugs from Iran (with certificates of authenticity). The person's parents recently not here the rug business and he has many rugs available.

Does anyone know a objective price for these rugs or have a price guide? I realize that smaller rugs are obviously smaller number than bigger rugs, but what, for example, should a 4' x 8' rug cost?

Answers:    The price should be around $40/square foot for a standard hand-knotted wool rug.

If you're looking at a kilim (looks like a fundamentally thick tapestry) those will be much cheaper, and if you're looking at a silk rug, or silk blend rug, those will be about double the cost of wool, or conceivably more.
