I am doing a remodel that includes a half bath that get used quite a bit. I need to purchase a fresh toilet and I am looking at a couple by a brand named Ariel (the platinum toilet and the Hermes). Problem is, I am having a intricate time finding some spec information about them and also any info that might tell me if they¡¯re a competence fixture. I do know that they come from a company in China and that¡¯s where they¡¯re manufactured. I simply want to know if this brand is reliable or if it¡¯s crap. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Answers: Go next to Kohler it's the best on the market. I'm a retired contractor. I was never call back to a job near kohler.I was called backbone when the owner bought cheap plumbing parts and the owner payed me twice to fix the problem. Some times you think your getting a good business,but all your getting is in your wallet. Go next to Kohler it's the best on the market an last.
It probably have a very pleasing look and I have chosen fixtures for indistinguishable reason - but I will never again use any fancy plumbing. I have be disappointed in quality and it is the most expensive entity to change in your home - we simply had to cut walls out to get to the shower valve when the high end faucets poor (copper plated crap from China).
I couldn't find any info on Ariel either - think Moen or Kohler
