Are bed diffrent length along as thickness? Is a queen bed the same length as a double bed ?...

Is a queen bed the same length as a double bed ? Is a king bed longer than a queen bed ? I know within is a california king which is longer but I thought all bed were like length just wider depending on the bed. Please consent to me know as I have a bet that they are adjectives the same length.
