Anybody know almost any "green" counter tops?

Answers:    Recycled glass. Great looking, serves well and available within a variety of colors. Here is the link from one mfr.

Look for a green-building store contained by your area. They seem to be popping up adjectives over.
A locally-made tile is about as green as you can go next to countertop material, but then you inevitability to take into consideration the grout and the underlayment (plywood, cement board) etc. It might seem that stone would be green, but most of it comes from a long method away so the transportation costs un-green it. There are some interesting developments in recycled glass, but so far they are pricing themselves out of the marketplace with those products.
