I was leaning toward an Edoras subject matter, the Horse Lords and all that, but after looking at some stills from the movie, I would also like to see my room become Rivendell.
Though I enjoy the ideas in my chief, I need help to in actuality make it a reality. What color would the walls be, what almost furniture, should I stain my wood floors?
Any suggestions?
wait im not sure what youre trying to do. O_o, I penny-pinching what are you trying to do to it to give it that LOTR theme?Paint pictures surrounded by the walls making the background like Rivendell?
If you want Rivendell you should look at the architecture. Light woods, made from graceful designs with celtic themes.
Natural colours close to whites, stone greys and greens should be used.
For furniture you should go for things with flimsy carving.
For everything use natural materials; wood, metal, stone (no plasics).
Answers: I think it would be hard to do that. If you really similar to LOTR, I'd find a picture I like of Edoras or Rivendell and paint a mural on one wall. The other walls I would paint a lighter shade of a color in the mural. I would use furniture surrounded by the shade of the trees and maybe a green bedspread surrounded by the shade of the grass. I would not stain my floors. Get a rug. or Paint some columns and put Ivy on the walls/windows with light airy sheers. I picture Rivendell self light and breezy, Roman looking.
