I am refinishing my gun stock (wood) with the minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane Clear gloss after color stain. How lots coats neccessary for protection or/and do I need polishing with wax or grease afterward. Anyone out there, can you explain, I would appreciate it.
What is the best color that go next...
Answers:    2 coats, to make sure it is complete

Then grease it after a few weeks.

Not really necessary, but it makes it look shiny
