My parents are remodeling the basement and we're going to put my room down here. It's huge and I want it to look really nice. I'm a 16 year old girl, by the mode. Send me pictures, your ideas, anything! I simply don't want someone to say "Pick your favorite colors, etc." I want YOUR concept!! But, any suggestions would help!

A pale blue wall, a pink comforter with polka dots beside pink pillows for your bed, a purple canopy, a glowing brown colored table by the left side of your bed beside a turqouise alarm clock and a pink and purple lamp, a suntan colored desk with souvineers, trophies, awards, etc., a purple clock on the north side of your wall, blue curtains, a rectangle mat with the colors pink, purple and frothy blue mixed together in a pretty cut-out, a reddish brown colored wardrobe, 2 posters of your favorite stars{try not to put them side by eachother}, and if you own enough space by the vanished side of your bed, a small pink round table with two small purple chairs and a small white pitcher full of fake flowers contained by the middle of the table, a black computer in a corner of the room, brown picture frames on the wall, and a small pink and purple picture frame on the wardrobe.
That's what I'd suggest for a cute bedroom. Just try not to put together it junky and make it look close to your room has ample space. ;D
Answers: Do you enjoy any piece of furniture/ textile/ poster/ painting/ etc. that you cherish that you'd like to include contained by this room? Because it's always easier to purloin that, let's say a favorite ginger chair beside leather seating and tubular steel frame, and build your design plan around it. Picking furnishings and textiles later becomes much easier.
Also, don't pick out night colors for walls if there's not much light contained by the room. If it's well lit next to say, recessed lights in the ceiling, then you can stir ahead and have bright colored walls. Being a subterranean vault, stay away from dark shades of any color- through nono. Ceiling can be colored but keep it a frothy shade because dark colors on ceiling brings the height of the room further down. It's a trick of the eye.
