Adding cute little touches to a teen bedroom.? I need help totalling small touches to the decorations in my bedroom....
I need help totalling small touches to the decorations in my bedroom. I don't like candles exceedingly much. My room is bright blue, green, pink, and orange. I want decorations that aren't the common decorations you see contained by every other bedroom. Does anyone have ideas?
Thanks!
You could get some unusual artwork like paintings or sculpture to decorate your room. You can find all kind of different decorations online. colorful vase and nice bright picture and a little colorful rugs and what ever else you resembling in your room.
I would suggest looking on websites like PBteen, and going to stores like Hobby Lobby. For little accesories, you can find cheap, (like 0.99) vase, votive holders (you don't have to use candle holders for candles), you can get a in one piece bunch of these and put fake or real flowers, or colored pebbles (from Michael's). You can also attain glass jars from Michael's, or any craft store, and swarm them up with sand, shells, dried flowers, ect., ect. Using Scrapbook Paper is also a good conception, you can get paper-mache initial letters at Hobby Lobby or Michael's, and cut up the scrapbook treatise into small peices, and cover the letters with it. These are cute if you put together a few spelling out a word or your initials with coordinating sheets of scrapbook paper. Hang these on a wall or above your bed and they look great. Also, If you are allowed, sculpture furniture and stamping it or using sandpaper to rough it up a little can also add charactor to a room. Hope this help! Love this! Your room sounds intense with color - keep the decorations within a theme you like. What are your hobbies, interests or a moment ago something you'd like to have. for example - do you approaching the beach? Add globe lighting, suspend some beach balls for fun. Or possibly it's music? Display your instrument, some music and posters. That kind of thing make it YOUR room. Good luck. LT
Answers: Get crafty.
Piece together plastic oilcloth in colors that go near your room... (or cover them in fabric) .Then use cardstock from the scrapbook store to make your own photo frames to sway onto the wall.
Just use two pieces of plastic canvas. Cut out the middle of one then cover both beside the same fabric. Insert a piece of cardstock to clear your own custom funky picture frames.
You can fashion these anyway you wish... the possibilites are continuous. Your friends will want some as soon as they see them.
Get creative.
You could also decoupage... This simply means you buy some decoupage glue. put the bonding agent down first... then add the thesis you want. let dry.
Come back next and cover with a couple more coats of the glue.
This give a very cool look.
If you want to make the item look 'antique'. simply rub it beside a tea bag first. let dry ...next add the first coat of glue. Add tabloid... rub with tea bag adjectives over again. Then add the next coat of epoxy resin.
Find some funky boxes with lids. Shoe boxes would work fine. Cover within fabric and stack in a corner as giant as you wish. This is a great storage option and will look pretty too. If you want to cover them next to something that will wipe clean... use wall paper or vinyl that you cut bad an old couch ... be a salvager. Look for free stuff that is anyone thrown away and make something beautiful out of it.
You could construct funky decorative storage boxes ...or purses... out of cigar boxes. Some crafters sell cigar box purses for hundreds of dollars.
Check out the craft stores... hardware stores (especially the wood working section)... scrapbook stores... and antique malls for design. Don't forget Goodwill or the Salvation Army... Dollar Stores are great too.
My sister found some pretty cool stuff at this place surrounded by Dallas called Room Service Home. They're online too. They sell virtuous stuff, it stands up really well. She bought it like four years ago and it is still looking close to new!
