75th Birthday Party Ideas beside a country focus but not a western area. Any philosophy? I am throwing my mom a surprise 75th birthday party on...

I am throwing my mom a surprise 75th birthday party on August 2nd. I am renting a local community center that have round tables and chairs for us to use; and access to a kitchen. We are not competent to decorate the walls so I entail decorating philosophy. I want country (no apples) feel but not western. I be thinking of blue gingham linens with sunflowers or conceivably daisies. Blue, white & yellow are the colors I be thinking would blend well. I inevitability centerpiece ideas, simple finger type food concept, invitation ideas, cake philosophy, gift concept. If you have any that you would be prepared to share with me I would be terribly thankful. I want to tender her a very unusual party surrounded by those who love her as much as I do. My mom is a simple country girl who is not really into adjectives the frills, lace, bells and whistles so to speak that others are accustom to. Thanks surrounded by advance for your replies.
Answers:    Go beside the daisy themed idea.

Get blue/white gingham tablecloth, get white vase for the yellow/white daisies for each table's centerpiece. Get different styles/sizes for the vase...for added interest.

Use yellow or blue for the plates & eyeglasses.
Get a nice cake with a picture of a container (or wheelbarrow) with yellow/white daisies spilling out of it...out within a field near maybe an elderly rusted wagon contained by the background. You could even go and get a small barrel/cask for the main table next to yellow/white daisies spilling out...

Use this picture for the invitations.

For food, (besides the cake) serve finger sandwiches...makeshift stuff like ham, turkey, chicken, roast beef...& white/wheat bread. Maybe even pimentio cheese...possibly some potato salad...or even fried chicken tenders.

Maybe some fruit...cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, grapes, strawberries, apple slices, etc. possibly some cheese cubes...cheddar & pepper jack...etc or just a cheese orb & crackers.

Serve it all next to pink lemonade.

Gift ideas----same as always.anything she likes... Maybe a family connections picture that you've framed & put on display.by the guest book.
