Ordering berber carpet. High traffic nouns; carpet have a 3.75/4 rating for foot traffic resilience. Should we purchase the 6-pound pad or the 8-pound wipe?
Anyone had experiences near both?
Anyone have a nouns as to one or the other? Anyone have an aversion to one or the other? Why or why not?
(e.g., pros/cons; your effectiveness for the space in which you did the carpeting and used the wad; the feel of it)
Thx!
Answers: The with the sole purpose difference, in my judgment, is the feel when you amble on it. The six pound pad will make a contribution you a softer walk and the eight pound wipe a firmer feel.
The hearth rug will perform equally okay with any pad density and usually any one will qualify under the manufacturer's warranty. However as another contributor stated, the manufacturer may require an eight pound wipe under it's warranty. Check the cooperation below. It will take you to the Carpet and Rug Institute's page on the subject.
There are those who will transmit you the eight pound is better and there are those who will convey you the opposite. The differences contained by either suitcase are negligible.
If price is your chief concern, choose the six pound. Otherwise, choose which one feels best to you. I've be selling floor covering for commercial and residential applications for more than twenty years. My customers have chosen both routes over the years and I hold never had a complaint around padding choice.
By the method, if it were me, I would choose the 8 pound for the firmer stride.
Something for you to consider - we recently put contained by new runner and got the 8 lb beside the moisture guard. It has the plastic on both sides of the foam and be like $2. more a courtyard. Anyway, the lady selling it to us told us that she have it in her house and didn't thought for it because it squeaks when you walk on it. She be right, you can hear the squeak right through the carpet. Just thought you might close to to know that in overnight case it would bother you. It really bothers my husband. The 8 lb is nice and bouncy, sorry never had the 6 lb to compare it to. Good luck.
