Can I put a 3-way light bulb in a regular storm lantern and have it work? Also, how hard is it to brand a regular lamp into a 3-way?

Answers:    Yes, and to change a light to 3-way you need to change the switch-=socket. Not a big settlement. The wiring connection at the floor of the socket is the same as that for a single-way.

With the lamp cord disconnected, remove the bulb and shade. squeeze the socket close by the bottom and the shell will slide out. You can see the screw terminals with slotted screw. remove the wires, and screw the socket base off. Now you can replace near the new socket, and you are back surrounded by business. Be sure to observe which wire comes rotten the bright terminal, and put the same wire on the bright terminal of the different socket.
