I would suggest you paint your room a color call "Tidewater". It is from Sherwin William's, an is a light aqua color. Get a comforter cover (duvet) surrounded by white with sheer white flowing panel for you window treatments. You can accessorize your room near beach themed potpourri (shells and star fish) and put it within a aqua or turquoise colored bowl. Find pictures for your walls in like peas in a pod color family. Get white picture frames and epoxy resin tiny shells around the border to stick with your summertime issue. In the winter when you want a change, purely get a different color of comforter cover, surrounded by a darker turquoise or teal. Put your summer potpourri surrounded by a large baggie within the winter (if you choose) and it will stay scented until you want to bring it out again. You can other get refresher grease for it if the scent diminishes. Hope this inspires you to get a current look for your room. Good luck with your summertime project! The following is the net site so you can see what "Tidewater" looks like painted on their walls first.

I approaching how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can prod by color family & color identify, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color scheme.
